After weeks of scouring autotrader for the car that I was after, I finally found what I was looking for at Carisbrooke motors in Loughborough. This was my first time purchasing a car from a garage as well spending quite a bit of money on one, as I usually just have friends and family’s hand me downs but I decided it was time to treat myself. And after all the horror stories you hear about dodgy second hand car dealers I’m glad I chose Carisbrooke. Nick was absolutely fantastic, there was no hard sell or pressure put on to buy the car, I was able to look all around the car and all my questions were answered in detail, we went out for a test drive and everything was fine. I decided that I was going to go ahead and buy the car so it was back to the office to sort out the admin side of things and within 30 mins the car was in my name, taxed and insured, with 3 months warranty and 12 months free AA cover. I can assure people that I am not just rating Carisbrooke motors 5 stars and bigging Nick up because I bought the car from there. If I’d of had a bad experience my rating and review would of reflected that. The next time I’m looking for an upgrade to my car I will certainly be in touch with Nick, and will definitely be recommending him to any of my friends that are looking for a new car.

Since then we've had an ongoing issue with the car, still not identified. So, you might wonder if I've pressed the 5 stars by mistake. Let me tell you, car hunting people. I never review a trader on the basis of a sales experience. Any halfwit can turn on the charm to take your money. I always save my reviews until I've seen what matters: after sales service quality. No we are not done yet but I absolutely cannot fault these guys. Nick has been consistently trying to resolve this. He's collected her car from home (an hour's drive each way) and brought and insured a loan car for her. He came back to do the same when the fault recurred. He's liaised with our mechanic, he's kept us informed. When he brought her car back after the first fix attempt it had been washed and the tank filled. It's still with them but we know what's happening and he's been true to every word to date. We could not ask for any more from them and have every confidence that they'll keep going till this is fixed. It could have been a total pain to deal with this but the courtesy and commitment to after sales service has made, and continues to make the whole issue much simpler. I could wait till this is sorted but think the review is deserved now. Used car sales at the moment can't be an easy job so if you're buying, go with someone who you can have some faith in. I purchased a Toyota Avensis from Carisbrooke Motors, and the person I spoke to and dealt with was Dav. Dav was very polite, professional and knowledgeable as well as non-pushy. He answered all of my questions and if he did not know the answer, he made a quick call and got me an answer. I decided to go ahead with my purchase as they offered me 3 months warranty and 12 months AA cover as well as a fair price. So this gave me piece of mind. A few weeks later, I had a slight issue with the car and decided to give Carisbrooke a call. I was expecting an argument, but to my surprise Nick apologised and said bring the car back and we will get it sorted for you. So I did this, and they did get it sorted and even gave me a courtesy car in the meanwhile. All in all I am completely satisfied with Carisbrooke Motors and the staff, and would recommend them to everyone. Pleasure doing business with you and I will be back soon when my daughter passes :o)
